How to get ready for Eid
On Eid ul Fitr, when the fast is dissolved, all Muslims say Eid prayers. This is also called Eid salah. This prayer has six extra takbeers on top of the two Rakaat units. The first rakaat has 7 takbeers and the second rakaat has 5 takbeers. The point of these prayers is to thank Allah for giving Muslims the holy month of Ramadan and giving them the chance to do Ibadah during it. It also gives Muslims a chance to start the holy day in a way that shows they obey Allah. Most of the time, Muslims pray for Eid with their friends, family, and other Muslims.
Pay Zakat or Charity
Eid ul Fitr is also thought of as a day to help others. Muslims give Zakat al-Fitr, which is a charity payment, as a way to show their gratitude to Allah. A lot of Muslims help out in soup kitchens and food banks by giving food to people who need it. Muslims also use Eid ul Fetr as a time to think about their actions and decide if they have helped the well-being of those who are less fortunate.
