The Dajjal, or the Messiah, is the title of the person who is one of the great signs of the Hour and will appear near Qayamat. In some narrations, only the word ‘Dajjal’ is mentioned, which means the most treacherous, deceitful, and cunning, and in some narrations, it is also mentioned as ‘Al-Masih al-Dajjaal’, which means that before the Day of Resurrection. Someone will falsely claim to be the Messiah and deceive people with some of his perfections. And it will be taking advantage of the idea of the coming of the Messiah among Muslims, Jews, and Christians. The Dajjal will come from the east. After his departure, he will go to every city and town on earth, but he will not be able to enter Makkah, Medina, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and Masjid.

In the Prophet’s sayings, “Dajjal” is never actually defined. The Islamic name “Dajjaal” has come to represent him and serve as his identification. While many prophets have warned their people, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has thoroughly explained his persecution, along with numerous signs and warnings. He educated his ummah on the procedures.
Avoid the Dajjal at all costs:
Imran ibn Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever hears the news of the Dajjal, he should stay away from it. He is a man, but seeing the wonders of those who are with him, he will follow him.” [Abu Dawood]
Dajjal The worst of it all:
In the words of Hazrat Imran bin Hussain (may Allah be pleased with him), “I have heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) say that from the birth of Adam (peace be upon him) till the Day of Resurrection, there is no greater tribulation than the Dajjal.” [Muslim] His infidelity will be plain to see. The faithful will instantly identify him. And the skeptics will remain blind to the evidence.
The siege of Dajjal and the Surah Al-Kahf:
A famous Surah of the Quran is Surah Al-Kahf. This surah’s magnificence lies in the fact that it provides deliverance from the Dajjal. As indicated before, the departure of the Dajjal is a major indicator of the approaching End of Days, and the Dajjal’s ordeal will be the worst trial humanity has ever faced. The Dajjaal will cause suffering for innumerable individuals all around the globe, not only in Makkah and Madinah. For Christians, facing this adversity will be like taking on a task. The Prophet outlined several strategies for warding off this uprising (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Memorizing the first 10 verses of Surah Al-Kahf is one such technique.
